Sound Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1996 by its principal, Timothy D. Holderman, P.E.
Tim graduated from the University of Washington, earning a degree in civil engineering. His more than 20 years of technical and management experience have encompassed all facets of design, technical analysis, and preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates and construction phase observation.
While acting as managing principal in charge of civil engineering services, Tim also manages his own private development interests. His effectiveness as a principal is enhanced by the fact that he works alongside the civil and land planning staff.
Tims extensive experience includes successful completion of over 1,800 development projects within the King, Snohomish, Thurston, and Pierce County areas. These projects have involved complex land planning, wetland mitigation, steep slopes, soil, traffic mitigation, storm drainage, sewer, and water service related issues for an array of development scenarios such as single family plats, commercial, industrial, office, retail, condominiums, apartments, schools, fire stations, public maintenance facilities, churches, banks, libraries, and public agency consultation.
